Groundwork’s approach is based on partnership, working with the public, private and voluntary sector to deliver sustainable improvements to Camden, Islington, Haringey and Westminster.

Our funding is derived from a variety of sources including grants
from the UK Government, the London Boroughs that we work in,
regeneration funding programmes, the European Union and the
Lottery. We also obtain funding from the private sector in the form
of sponsorship and grants and from charitable trusts and
foundations.
Furthermore, partnership with the private sector was a founding principle of the first Groundwork Trust established in 1981. It remains equally strong today. These relationships take many forms; from one-off donations to volunteering and gifts in kind or pro-bono advice. More than one hundred companies currently work with Groundwork either at a national, regional or local level. We also have opportunities for companies to "get their hands dirty" by organising corporate action days. Click here to read more..

Help a London Child (HALC) provides financial support to
grass-root projects working within London’s less advantaged
children and young people.
HALC has funded Groundwork’s “Happening
Horticulture” project. This is a triple whammy project of
getting kids outdoors, learning about gardening, and making their
school or local environment a nicer place to be by planting flowers
and vegetables.
They have been able to fund a day trip to Kew Gardens for 16
children and the highlight was, perhaps not surprisingly, the world
famous Palm House. Over 400 children have benefited from their
support so far.
