Up To No Good!

Up to No Good imageUp to No Good” is an intergenerational project working with young people and older residents in Camden, Islington and Westminster. The three year project aims to promote understanding and cohesion between young people and adults through the theme of the project, which is leisure and how activities we do in our spare time have changed over the years.

The programme of activity encourages people to come together and explore heritage in an accessible and educational way. Participants are learning about games, community festivals and friendships groups as well as people's use of places such as parks, streets, rivers and derelict land.

Over the three year lifespan of the project, Groundwork will be working with six communities involving a minimum of 20 young people and 12 adults per project. Participants will be putting on performances and exhibitions to showcase the heritage collected and to share their experiences with others.

The project has been funded using a grant of £134,500 from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) and further smaller grants from The Rank Foundation, Goldsmiths Company, Vitners Company and the Morris Charitable Trust.
